Atlas Obscura

Atlas Obscura is an US-based online publication and travel company that catalogs “unusual and obscure travel destinations via user-generated content”. The company was founded in 2009 by Joshua Foer and Dylan Thuras.

A culinary-related offshoot called Gastro Obscura was launched in 2021.
