There were two weird and interesting shows I loved as a kid: Eerie Indiana and Round the Twist. PushingUpRoses covered the latter and it took me back to the 90s. Round the Twist was an Australian children’s comedy series based on stories by Paul Jennings and it followed the lives and adventures of the Twist family. But those adventures were pretty strange, as PushingUpRoses explained. She made the case that the series could just as easily be interpreted as a children’s horror as a quirky comedy. I never considered it a horror when I was a child but in retrospect, it could easily be a mix of both horror and comedy and quintessentially 90s.
